Yngwie officially jumps the shark

Really, I have not heard anything from Yngwie since 2000's War to End All Wars, but by hiring the Ted McGinley of metal (aka Ripper Owens) he has sealed his fate as a has been.

It may not be as bad as you think. Yngwie changes singers like most people change their underwear. If MetalMcGinley lasts for more than one album I'll be shocked. You have to take into consideration the size of Yngwie's ego. Most musicians can't deal with Yngwie and his colossal ego for more than one or two albums. So we'll just have to wait and see.

Yngwie has been a has-been since FIRE AND ICE (1992) with Goran Edman at the mic. The guy changes singers every two records and he never gives anyone any input. He announces Tim "Metal McGinley" Owens as the new singer but that Owens will have no input into the songwriting. The ego is out of control, as it always has been, and he will continue to be an afterthought everywhere except Japan.
