#1 - The Prisoner - Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast

This song literally has it all. It embodies everything that is great about Iron Maiden. Plus the Clive Burr drum intro caps it.

This is a great song, but I didn't know it was your favorite Maiden song.

This was probably my favorite song off this album when I was in high school. Now it's probably either 22 Acacia Avenue or Gangland.

T, I've enjoyed YOUR list.

Now for the complaints! I can understand leaving off key acts that might not "qualify" as metal, but once you let The Cult in a whole bunch of other fringe bands should storm the gates.

And where is Anthrax? Not one track from "Among the Living"? This is a seminal metal record, no?

Best to you and yours this season, T.

SB - Duh!

Mark - Gangland? An underrated track for sure, but best on NotB?

Craig - As far as The Cult, Sonic Temple is as metal an album as any traditional metal/power metal act, and certainly more metal than AC/DC, Kiss, Aerosmith, etc.

As far as Anthrax and Among the Living, you make a fair point, perhpas I could have considered something, but in any event, I am glad you liked my tsilnikufesin.
